Many of the dads are away this weekend representing the Singapore Sharks Football Club at the ‘Bali Masters’ but training will be on as normal at the scheduled times. As a number of the coaches will be lining-up to play in Bali, we are putting out a call for some parents to step up to help with the skills this weekend. The Year 4&5 Group is especially short on coaching numbers this week, so any parent willing to lend a hand your help will be greatly appreciated. The younger groups could also do with a hand this week as well.

Trophy collection

There was a great turn out last weekend for the trophy presentation and photo session at the end of each group’s training. Should your junior footballer have missed out on a trophy last week, there are still enough to go around, so see your coaches at the end of this week’s training for collection. For those interested keep a lookout over the next week on the Singapore Sharks Football Club website for the team photos that were taken.

Last week

Saturday June 15 will be the official wind-up of the training sessions for Aussie Rules at AIS for season 2013. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible on the final day to mark what has been another great year for the Singapore Sharks Football Club.

No barbeque this weekend

With a number of the regulars behind the BBQ away in Bali this weekend, there will be no refreshments this weekend, so remember to stock up on plenty of extra fluid at home before arriving at training.

Footy Tipping

This week’s winner of the $50 Dallas Bar or Rotisserie voucher is the Big Hairless Cat, aka Alastair Symington, who correctly selected eight winners with a 1pt margin on last Friday night’s game. That leaves David W and Archi as our leaders on 70pts from Sam the Boss and Zac Batagol on 69pts. We are nearly at the half-way mark of the season and the next three rounds only have six matches which may make the task of tipping “the round” a little easier. The full nine matches comes back into play in round 14. Make sure you have your tips in by the bounce of the ball on Friday night.
