The weather gods were again unkind for the Aussie Rules kids on Saturday afternoon when a tropical thunderstorm rumbled over AIS forcing a number of the age groups inside.

It certainly didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the kids and with the help of our ever growing number of parent helpers the children worked their way through their training drills with a great deal of passion.

As the school and Easter holidays are approaching, it is worth reminding that there will be no training at AIS on Saturday April 6. Those that are remaining in Singapore over the Easter break, training will be on as normal on Saturday March 30 at the usual training times. Training will recommence on Saturday April 13.

Hong Kong Trip

A reminder the Hong Kong tour on May 18 is approaching and we are finalising numbers. There will be teams for U7’s, U10’s and U13’s and it should be a fantastic weekend with football on Saturday and a possible trip to Hong Kong Disneyland on Sunday for those who may wish to go.

You can email sharksfc@ais.com.sg with the name of the child and the age group if you are interested in attending this tour.

Expressions of interest are open for the Melbourne trip for the AFL game at half-time between Hawthorn and West Coast at Etihad Stadium on June 21 and a game against Ivanhoe on Sunday June 23. Again, please email sharksfc@ais.com.sg with your interest.

Mouth Guards

With the introduction of light tackling in the older age groups, children should be encouraged to wear a mouth guard. There are multiple avenues to buy mouth guards, including Queensway Shopping Centre or online at the Canterbury Singapore store.

Le Noir production a must see

Some who have seen cutting edge show Le Noir at Marina Bay Sands recommend it as a must see production. Engaging some of the most incredible acts on earth, Le Noir is an extraordinary evening of intimate cirque style entertainment. A cast of world class acrobats, musicians, specialty acts and comedians are the centerpiece of this production. Click here for more information.

Out Of Bounds Areas

While the Singapore Sharks Football Club has had use of the gyms in recent weeks due to the thunderstorms, we seek parental help in keeping the children out of the gyms and the pool area when training is not taking place in these areas on Saturday afternoons. At no stage should children be left unsupervised in the gyms.
