The program to Perth looks amazing, thanks to the hard work of both Tim Delahunty (Singapore) and Simon Taskunas (Perth), who are combining their footy passion and organisation skills to make this a memorable trip. To date, we have only a limited number of families who have expressed interest in this trip, which is a concern. There is still a lot to organise, such as:

-        Special group fares with airlines

-        Special group hotel accommodations

-        Buses if required and other such logistics.

We will try and make this one of the best footy experiences we can join our kids on. If you are interested in this trip, please show your expression of interest by sending an email with your child's name, age group and contact number to

Introducing the Trip to Perth

As previous newsletters have identified, we are planning a trip to sunny Perth for the Mighty Singapore Sharks to take on the Cottesloe Magpies Junior Football Club ( over the Singapore National Day weekend of 8/9 August 2015.   The Singapore Government has also kindly made both the Friday prior and Monday after public holidays, minimising the impact on KIDS missing school and annual leave requirements.

Key Events

We have agreed with the Magpies to bring one or two Under 9 teams (up to 20 players) and one or two Under 7 teams (up to 20 players) for Auskick matches.  Obviously we will try to cater for siblings that fall just above and below these age brackets.  We have also arranged to attend and play the half time game on the ground at the East Fremantle Sharks WAFL team ( versus the West Perth Falcons match at ATOM Stadium (a.k.a. Shark Park).

For those deciding to travel on the Thursday, on the Friday (7 August 2015) we will visit Domain Stadium (previously known as Paterson stadium and home of the Fremantle Football Club and the West Coast Eagles) to watch the AFL Premiers, the Hawthorn Hawks, train ahead of their Saturday game against the Eagles.

On the Saturday (8 August 2015) we have a tour and lunch arranged at Little Creatures Brewery ( in the morning, before heading to ATOM Stadium, as identified, to take part in the half time game on the ground at the East Fremantle Sharks (2014 Semi-finalists) versus the West Perth Falcons WAFL match.  Child-friendly venues are currently being explored to identify a place for dinner and to watch the live telecast of the Hawks versus West Coast game on the television.

On the Sunday (9 August 2015) morning, the Cottesloe Magpies will host the Singapore Sharks in an Australian Rules Football tournament.  Lunch will also be arranged either at the ground or at a nearby venue.  Participants are then obviously free to either travel back to Singapore later on the Sunday or on the Monday (10 August 2015) Singapore public holiday.

Next Steps

Once numbers are confirmed, we will work with airlines and hotels to identify package rate deals.  If you are interested, please forward your expression of interest, along with child's name, age group and contact number, by clicking here.
