Due to the very popular annual Fish and Chip evening hosted by the AIS Parents Association at the Australian International School on 20 April Saturday afternoon, the Singapore Sharks Football Club has had to make some alterations to this week’s schedule.

Luckily the timeslots for the first two sessions are unaffected, however the ever busy 4pm timeslot, incorporating the pre-schoolers and the Prep/Grade 1, will see the locations changed this weekend

The pre-schoolers will be relocated to the MPH (the upstairs gym, the same as last week) while the Prep/Year 1’s will be moved to the Junior field, the other-side of the gym from the main oval that is regularly used.

Unfortunately due to the timing of the AIS Parents Association Fish and Chip evening, the 5pm timeslot for the Year 6 and older group has had to be cancelled along with the Dads training from 6pm.

2pm – Year 4/5’s on as per normal (main oval)

3pm – Year 2/3’s on as per normal (main oval)

4pm – Preschool relocated to the MPH (same as last week). Prep/Year 1’s relocated to the Junior Field (other-side of main gym)

5pm – Year 6 + - CANCELLED

6pm – Dads – CANCELLED.

We appreciate your support and understanding this week and hope to see a good turnout for training.

Anzac Day at Dallas

For those that have the opportunity and would like to witness one of Australia’s truly great sporting events of the year, head down to Dallas Bar at Boat Quay on Anzac Day – Thursday April 25. The Collingwood v Essendon game will be shown live at Level 3 from 12.30pm and immediately following that game will be the St Kilda v Sydney game from Wellington, in New Zealand, timed to start at 3.50pm.

Wombats 20th Anniversary

As part of the Wombats 20th Anniversary this year, the Sharks Dad’s team has been invited to play one, possibly two, games on April 27 at Dempsey. We will be playing The Wombats Legends and possibly a shortened game vs the Navy which are expected to be in town.

The first game is scheduled to kick-off at 10:30am and both games are expected to finish around 12:30pm, enabling those participating to get home, shower and get back to AIS for training on Saturday afternoon.

Mark the date down in your diary as we would love to see as many of the Singapore Sharks Football Club community at the game cheering on the “old boys”.

Hong Kong and Melbourne tour

Final numbers are being confirmed for the Hong Kong trip on May 18. Currently there are 29 confirmed, great numbers for our inaugural tour. The Melbourne tour is also beginning to take shape and we will reach out to the members who expressed interest shortly to firm up numbers.

Please see one of the committee or email sharksfc@ais.com.sg for more information or to confirm places.

Trivia Night

Hopefully you would have seen the very generous offer from the Hollandaise Club offering all SSFC members a one-month free trial leading up to our Trivia Night on Saturday May 11.

Please contact a committee member if you would like to attend the Trivia Night as places are limited.

On the night we will be auctioning off a 2 year membership to the Hollandaise Club where the proceeds are for the benefit of SSFC and members. If anyone has an interest to bid and cannot make the Trivia Night, please see one of the committee members or email us.

As a reminder, there are also one-year term memberships to Fitness First available. Again please see the committee or email us.
