Footy (Auskick) is ON this Sat 11 Feb!

Please be aware that Auskick will go ahead as planned this Sat 11 Feb, together with Fish & Chip Night.  A special reminder that the Dads’ training starts this week also.  We were delighted to see the fantastic turn out on our opening day last week, and look forward to seeing all participants (and more) again this week at the following times:

2-3pm   Year 4/5
3-4pm   Year 2/3
4-5pm   Prep/Year 1
4-5pm   Pre-schoolers
5-6pm   Middle School
6-7pm   Dads (all adults welcome)

In addition, we have had some positive news from the AFL this week regarding our proposed trips to Australia to play at half time of AFL games.  We have confirmed as follows:

  • Perth, Sun 6 May, WCE v NM, confirmed for ages 5-9, with up to 16 spots available.
  • Melbourne, Sat 23 Jun, either WB v BL at Etihad Stadium or Coll v WCE at the MCG (still to be confirmed).  There are two games as follows:
  • Game #1 – confirmed for ages 8-10, with up to 12 spots available for an Auskick Grid game, where the kids wear the black and red Auskick guernseys

  • Game #2 – confirmed for ages 10-12, with up to 20 spots available for an Auskick Rules game, where the kids wear the colours of one of the competing teams

Please see our Admin Coordinator, Josephine Ong, at training this week to re-confirm or register your interest.

In relation to all of these games, there is some flexibility as to ages, but the above are the guidelines provided by the AFL.  We will try to accommodate everyone where possible.

We are still looking at the possibility of a game in the Asian region, but given our success with the above games, any Asian game is likely to be limited to a game during the Bali Masters over 35s on the weekend of Fri 8 & Sat 9 Jun in Bali.  We will keep you informed.
