After another very successful season for the Singapore Sharks, the coming weekend marks the end of the Auskick program.  The year has seen many highlights including the visits of AFL stars Andy Otten and Jack Trengove, a tournament in Hong Kong, the recent Carnival Day in Singapore and a number of successful social events like the annual Trivia Night.  Above all, the kids running around each Saturday (wearing their new playing kits) with smiles and laughs all round, that is why we are all committed to the Sharks community. Heartfelt thanks to the kids, coaches, committee, volunteers and sponsors for making the year so successful.

We did see a drop in attendance numbers last week, predominately due to the Bali Masters.  Many of the Dads travelled.  They managed to make the Division 1 Grand Final where unfortunately, they lost by a couple of goals.  Not about winning or losing, all about the camaraderie and apparently the boys had a fantastic time yet again.  Encourage all our kids to come out this Saturday for our final day of the program.  For the older players, details for the games in Term 3 will be released at the end of the school break.

Thanks again to everybody that make the Singapore Sharks community such a significant and enjoyable part of our lives in Singapore!!

Good luck to the kids (and adults) who are in Melbourne next week for the Brisbane Lions v Western Bulldogs match and playing the half time in the middle. Word has it that the boys may also be the “Guard of Honour” to the Doggies when they go out on the pitch. Should be good entertaining television seeing all the Sharks kids on TV!

Throughout the course of the Auskick program, dozens of photos (thank you very much to the Mums and Dads who have contributed to building the Sharks photo library) have been taken to capture the great times our Sharks kids have enjoyed.  Please note that these photos can be found here -
